Tour Points

THANA HALL BRIEFING ROOM

Thana's Hall provides ample room for 40 persons at a time. This room serves as the central hub for daily activities towards the later portions of KD RAHMAT's commision as a training platform.

WARD ROOM

This room serves as a recreation room for the crew members.

BRIDGE

The bridge of the ship is the room from which the ship was commanded. When the ship is underway the bridge is manned by an OOW (officier of the watch ) aided usually by an AB (able seaman) acting as a lookout. During critical maneuvers the Commanding Officer will be on the bridge supported, perhaps, by an OOW as an extra set of hands, an AB on the wheel and sometimes a pilot if required.

4.5" MK V GUN

Designed from the outset for anti-aircraft use with remote power control, where the guns automatically train and elevate the target following the director and a high rate-of-fire assisted by automatic ramming. The rate of fire of the MK V was 24 rounds per minute when power-loaded, 12-14 when hand loaded.

GALLEY

The galley (kitchen) was well equipped to allow the ship's cook ample creative freedom and capacity
to feed and satisfy a hungry crew.

WISMA BINTARA

This is the officer's dining room, this room is better furnished and decorated compared ton the more Spartan MESS HALL.
